About AIRE

We believe that healing and liberation can occur when we:

  • Find community/space where we are accepted as we are; with no judgment; welcomed with love and acceptance with the desire to learn

  • Have understanding of our experience informed by the current and historical experiences of marginalized communities and our ancestors

  • Mobilize and find our voice, advocating for system and practice changes- informed by those who are most impacted

We believe that healing and liberation (individually and as communities) is the path for each of us, therefore the resources and spaces to do this should be accessible to all.

AIRE aims to do this through its three offerings: Counseling, Consulting, and AIRE roots.

AIRERoots team

AIRE values diversity of identities, experiences and  thought while recognizing that there are multiple truths and the impact of intersectionality. AIRE holds itself accountable first to the people and communities it serves and is committed to continuing to learn what the community is asking for (services, programs, and policy/practice changes). AIRE is committed to challenging systems which have historically and continue to cause harm to marginalized communities.

AIRE recognizes and honors the communities and individuals who have come before us, allowing for our work to be possible- a continuation and legacy of their work providing us with frameworks of healing, liberation, and organizing.  We humbling ground ourselves in this and with gratitude for our families, teachers, mentors, and communities who have profoundly impacted each of our paths.

Our Commitment and Expertise

Our Passion and Commitment shows in the work we do…

Beth was a very competent and thoughtful facilitator for our Hybrid Work Listening Sessions. Her ability to synthesize the information and provide input when requested was supportive for our leadership team. Beth’s warm demeanor and empathetic nature made staff feel comfortable sharing their experiences. We would work with her again in a heartbeat!

The Adoptee Mentorship Program (AMP) is truly impactful to the adoptees participating in the activities and discussions. Through this program, I believe the younger generations of adoptees who attend will be more aware about their adoptee identity and prepared as they grow into adulthood.

Christopher Carr, President of Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington (AAAW)

Beth is extremely knowledgeable in the fields of mental health and adoption and provides compassionate, reassuring, empathetic encouragement. I highly recommend Beth and any programs which she offers if you are looking for someone with the ability to show compassion and encouragement to you or to someone you love.
